What can I expect when visiting?
Feel free to explore our entire website for more details but here is a snapshot of what you can expect when visiting Redeemer Hoboken.
We meet at two Hoboken locations
The morning service (which offers free Dunkin Donuts coffee) meets Sundays at 10AM at Wallace Primary School, 1100 Willow Avenue. Our evening service (which concludes with free pizza) meets Sundays at 6PM at St. Matthew Trinity Church on the corner of 8th and Hudson.
A Typical Service
In most of our services, our liturgy (order of service) will include scripture reading, prayer, singing, a sermon and the Lord's Supper.
Great Music
We think we’re pretty lucky to have a group of professional musicians who share their talents each week.
Hospitality
We pray that when you enter our space you’ll feel welcomed with some coffee and the warmth of the people you meet here.
Community
People often say that the centerpiece of our church is community, which means the relationships and friendships that are formed within the walls of our church. We love to socialize, whether that means catching up after the service, gathering for a special event or meeting during the week at a Home Fellowship Group. We recognize that this “faith thing” can be hard and we need each other’s support.
Children are Welcome
Visit the morning service and you’ll see that we’re a growing church. We have lots of families and lots of kids. Our morning service offers special Children activities for newborns on up through elementary school age. We also have a Mom's Group for mothers who would like support throughout the week.
Help is Available
We have a Diaconate as well as a Prayer Ministry team, which are specially appointed groups designed to assist those going through a difficult time.
Casual and Comfortable
In other words, there’s no dress code. You can wear a three-piece suit or jeans and a t-shirt. It simply doesn’t matter.
