In Jesus Name Benefit Concert

In Jesus Name is a relationship-based ministry with the poor. April Harris, the director of IJN, is committed to helping these families on an ongoing basis.

Hurricane Sandy

The flood in Hoboken completely wiped out the IJN pantry. Everything was lost; food, clothing, and many of the ministry’s administrative records and supplies. The ministry is currently in a state of cleaning out and re-grouping. While there is still a lot of uncertainty about the future, April Harris, through In Jesus Name, remains committed to living out God’s will and care for the poor in Hoboken. Her desire is always that God’s glory will be revealed, and His Name glorified.

Benefit Concert

How can I help?

Because of the current storage space constraints, In Jesus Name is unfortunately not in a position to accept many donations of food and clothing. Please consider joining us in supporting this ministry financially to ensure that individual needs of food and clothing can be met during this crucial time in our community.

But donations can be made through Paypal, or you can send a check to Redeemer Hoboken with In Jesus Name in the memo line to:

What is “In Jesus Name Charities?”

In Jesus' Name Charities is a collective compassionate and spiritual response to poverty in our community in which people may do small acts of kindness and sharing to comfort and help their neighbors in need. It operates an ongoing emergency food response, and verifies needs and coordinates a network of volunteers and donors to meet those needs. IJN was founded in 1981 when the Hoboken Clergy Coalition formed to respond to the various needs of the poor of Hoboken. Redeemer Hoboken is one of the twelve religious communities that supports and participates in the endeavors of IJN.
