Home Fellowship Group

Home Fellowship Groups Start Up!

As this new ministry year begins, our hope is that everyone will take part in home fellowship groups. We believe that home fellowship groups are the heart of the church and a place to have deeper relationships in the community of believers. We encourage you to visit a few different groups and decide where you feel most at home.

Prayer at the morning service

Last Week of October—Prayer Week

“I lift up my eyes to the hills- Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, The maker of heaven and earth.”
Psalm 121: 1

The Scriptures inform and guide us in all areas of our lives. And so it is with our prayer life. Often we don’t know how to pray as we should or even what to pray for. We see this in the disciple’s request that Jesus would teach them to pray. And so He does. He gives them (and us) not only the Lord’s Prayer but also the prayers of the apostles, the prophets and the psalms in order to teach us God’s own language of prayer. When we pray the prayers found in the written word of Scripture, whether it is the words of Paul or Peter or David, we are actually praying with Jesus, the Living Word and the author of those prayers. When we pray the Scriptures we can’t help but think God’s thoughts after Him. And those thoughts transform us, they draw us nearer to Him and grant us a deeper knowledge of our Lord and Savior and a deeper knowledge of His will. This is His desire for His children. It is a gift.

Cameron Feld's Baptism

What Baptism Means to Me

My son Cameron was baptized on September 12th and it was a very special day for me!! My husband Bennett and I had prayed for God to bring us a child for many years and I had often told God I would raise our child with the love of Christ deep in his heart. So in the moment that Tony laid his hand on Cameron’s head and offered him to Christ as one of His, I felt glad that I had kept my promise to God and glad for Cameron that he would benefit from this wonderful blessing. As we are in charge of growing this little soul, baptism ensures that he will be on the right path to begin with and be guarded by our Lord on his way. It’s like planting a seed in the most fertile soil and watching it grow into a great and beautiful tree. It also gives us great happiness to have him welcomed by all into our loving Christian community.

Thank you so much for all your prayers and support.
