Our guest speaker was Jaclyn Cherubini, Executive Director for the Hoboken Shelter. She shared with us the wonderful things that Hoboken Shelter does every day. They shelter 50 people nightly, serve 200 meals daily, and provide support services such as case management, counseling, job ad life skills training, creative arts workshops and emergency homelessness prevention grants. Along with the dedicated volunteers that work every month, we were able to help by providing paper goods. We appreciate all of you who helped in that project. If you are interested in getting more information about the Hoboken Shelter, please contact Bennett Feld at bennettfeld@verizon.net.

We had a visitor from our sister church Redeemer Montclair. Karen Jacobsen is joining the Food for the Hungry staff in Kigali, Rwanda working with the Child Development Program. She is excited to assist in curriculum development and staff training in order to encourage Rwandan children to develop a Biblical world view. • Thank you all for celebrating the First Anniversary of the Morning Service.

On Monday October 13th we begin a week of prayer. It might seem a straightforward enough thing for a church to do, after all we are simply gathering together to share our hopes and desires with the God we believe in - just speaking, no big deal. But prayer can be hard...
