Generosity
We live in a culture where spirituality cannot be separated from generosity. The needs of our city and of the world are impossible to ignore.
The scriptures say that God loves a cheerful giver, not because the church's needs are met, but because God's heart is made glad when we depend on him to provide for us. "Seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6).
Tithes and Offerings:
Where does the money go?
There are 2 Funds at Redeemer Hoboken that you can give to.
The Tithes & Offering Fund supports the general operating budget like our place of worship, the ministries, and our personnel involved. So we encourage your commitment to this fund since your gift directly influences the budget.
Received Jan-June 2010 – Total raised – $136,705
The Deaconate Fund exists for a few reasons, but its priority is to assist members of our congregation when they are in need. We have also been blessed with the funds to meet the needs of our community and other parts of the world through the congregation's generosity. An offering is taken once a year and we are happy to report our 2010 annual goal for this fund has been reached! Support has already been able to go out to Haiti, New City Kids Church, Hoboken Shelter, Rwanda
and many more!
